Family Study Room Guidelines
The Family Study Room (1st floor, Room 119) is intended for use by MSUM student parents/guardians, faculty, and staff who are accompanied by children and priority will be given accordingly. The space provides child-friendly furniture, children’s books, and toys. Other learning resources can be found in the 2nd floor Curriculum Materials Center. The room is also a private lactation space.
- Reservations are recommended; unoccupied rooms may be used on a first-come-first-served basis, but reservations have priority. Rooms can be reserved through MSUM’s Online Scheduling Services.
- Spaces may be reserved for up to four hours at a time, two days in advance.
- If a family has not arrived within 15 minutes of the reservation, others may use the room for the designated period.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for their children’s safety and behavior.
- Children may not be left alone in the room for any reason at any time.
- Changing stations are in the restrooms located on the same floor.
- The room should be left clean and orderly, including putting away toys and books after use.
- Library books and materials brought into the room from other areas should be returned to the Circulation Desk.
Please see the Safe Child Policy for more information about using the library building.
