Houston School District Ordered to Pay $9.2 Million in Copyright Infringement Case
This 2019 case revolves around the copying and distribution of copyrighted study guides in a Houston, TX high school and school district; they were distributed as far away as New Jersey. The study guides included a statement that "strictly prohibited" copying and there was evidence that those involved knew it was infringement and knowingly infringed copyright.
