Located in Flora Frick 153, the Dean of Students office offers a critical support structure for enriching the overall student experience.

The Office includes the CARE Team, Case Management for student basic needs (including food and housing insecurity), Mental Health First Aid, Student Conduct & Resolution, and Title IX. The Office also works closely with Accessibility Resources/Testing Services and Counseling Services.

Diversity and Social Justice Student Organizations at MSUM.

The Minnesota State University Moorhead Office of Diversity & Inclusion offers four cultural and identity centers open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Through a variety of programming and specialized resources, our centers help build a campus community that is diverse, inclusive, globally aware and just.

The Rainbow Dragon Center provides an affirming, safe space for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, intersex, asexual (LGBTQIA+), and allied community. It provides support and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ students at MSUM, connecting them with resources and community members both on campus and in the larger Fargo-Moorhead area community.

The powers of the Student Senate include, but are not limited to the following:
A. The safeguard of students’ welfare, the right to vote, the right to participate in all Minnesota State University Moorhead sponsored student governance activities, and the right to a fair hearing of grievances before an agency of appropriate jurisdiction.
B. To review all Senate and university committees’ actions.
C. The Senate shall also exercise such additional powers as deemed necessary and proper for the general welfare of the student body.
D. The right to create and recommend policy to the University President.

The Veterans Resource Center provides assistance in maximizing educational benefits and connecting veterans, service members, and their families to important campus resources that promote success.

The Women’s Center offers a welcoming environment for studying or meeting and relaxation. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to spend time between classes, enjoy snacks and a cup of tea or coffee, connect with others, and browse our library and free resources. Our staff provide welcoming, non-judgmental service and referrals for the whole MSUM community.
