Linking to Journal Articles

These instructions will show you how to link to full-text journal articles, allowing students the ability to access library materials off-campus. 

Note that this method for linking uses Dragon OneSearch and not a subject specific database. The advantage of this method is that it can provide linking to multiple databases--this makes the links more durable. If holdings change in one database, this method will show other databases that hold that same article.

 

1. Search Dragon OneSearch for Articles in Advanced Search:

Select advanced search

Select articles button, type in a a search term and hit search.

 

2. Select an article from the results list.

Click on the title of an article that is available online.

 

 

3. Click on the "Permalink" icon and copy Permalink

Click the permalink icon and then select the copy the permalink to clipboard link.

 

 

4. The permalink brings one back to this record and list of currently available full text options.
