Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) Orientation

CINAHL

CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is one of better databases to use when searching for journal articles related to healthcare administration. Unlike more general databases (e.g., Academic Search Premier), virtually all content in CINHAL is related to nursing and healthcare. There are other excellent databases that contain information that may be helpful to MHA students. Please see this list for other suggestions http://libguides.mnstate.edu/c.php?g=575503&p=3969067). No matter what database you use, becoming comfortable with searching CINAHL on the Ebsco platform will help jumpstart your ability to conduct quality research.

CINAHL Basic Search Tutorial

Please note that MSUM's configuration of CINAHL is slightly different than the one shown in this tutorial (we default to the advanced search, multiple search box interface). That said, much of the information presented in this video is still applicable in learning how to conduct research.

CINAHL Advanced Search Tutorial

As with the video above, the  configuration of CINAHL presented in this video may be slightly different than the one used at MSUM, but the information shown is still useful.
