Purpose & Learning Outcomes


The purpose of this course is to provide a solid, intuitive, technical, and practical introduction to econometrics. In addition, at the end of the course you should be able to use econometrics and statistical packages well enough to make you competitive in the market for analysts.

Learning Outcomes

Students will:

  1. Understand the uses and misuses of regression analysis
  2. Have the ability to interpret regression results
  3. have the ability to carry out independent research
  4. understand, detect, and when possible, fix econometrics problems
