Where Can I Find...

Where the plays are depends upon who wrote the play and what country they're from. Each author has their own call number. Search the catalog HERE by the author or title to find locations.

Anthologies of plays are all over the 4th floor of the library, but check PS634 first.  We have a healthy collection of "10-minute plays" for various combinations of actors; complete plays from the Humana Festival; and collections of plays by women.

We have all of the Pulitzer Prize-winning plays and all of the Tony Award-winning plays, either as single copies or in anthologies. We have winners of the The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, given annually to recognize women who have written works of outstanding quality for the English-speaking theater (See Award Winners tab for lists of titles owned by MSUM).

You can find monologues on the 4th floor at PN2080, at PN4305, and at PN6120.

Vocal scores for the musicals are on the 3rd floor to the south in the oversize collection.  Mostly, they're at M1500 and following. CDs from all of the Tony Award-winning musicals and MANY more can be found on the 2nd floor.

...Play Direction?

On the 4th floor at PN2053.

...Scene Direction?

On the 4th floor at PN2091.

All over the library, because it's a topic treated anthropologically or as a craft or as a theatre topic. See the 4th floor at TT507 and PN2067 and the 3rd floor.
