What is the eBook Collection?

The eBook Collection is an extensive collection of eBook titles that can be viewed on your computer or downloaded to a mobile device.  Thousands of titles are available across all major subject areas - from education to history to mathematics.

Who can access the eBook Collection?

Current Minnesota State University Moorhead students, faculty, and staff can access the eBook Collection.

Why use eBooks?

  • Most eBooks contain identical content to traditional books
  • eBooks are available anytime, anywhere
  • There is no limit on the number of eBooks that you can access
  • eBooks have tools that allow you to discover hard-to-find information
  • eBooks provide special features to help with your research, including:
    • Citations generator
    • Note taking
    • Print or save pages


Do I have to check the eBooks out?

No. Check out is only required if you plan to download the eBook to a mobile device.

How many eBooks can I check out?

There is no limit.

Can I place a book on hold?


Why do I get the message "sorry, this eBook is in use" when I try to view it?

EBSCO restricts the use of eBooks, usually if you wait for a short time the other user will finish with the book and you will be able to access it.
