Association of American Geographers
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) is a scientific and educational society founded in 1904. Its 6,500 members share interests in the theory, methods, and practice of geography.

   

Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN)
CIESIN is a center at the Earth Institute at Columbia University. It works at the intersection of the social, natural, and information sciences, and specializes in online data and information management, spacial data integration and training, and interdisciplinary research related to human interactions in the environment.

    Famine Early Warning Systems Network Data Portal (FEWS NET)

Provides access to geo-spatial data, satellite image products, and derived data products in support of FEWS NET drought monitoring efforts throughout the world.

    Forest Service Geodata Clearinghouse

An online collection of digital data related to forest resources. Find datasets related to forests and grasslands and to State and private forested areas. Find downloadable map products, raster data, and links to other sources of forest resource information.

    General Land Office Records

Provides access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including Federal land title records from 1788 to the present, as well as images of survey plats and field notes, land status records, and control document index records.

    Global Land Cover Facility
Provides earth science data and products to help everyone to better understand global environmental systems. Develops and distributes remotely sensed satellite data and products that explain land cover from the local to global scales.
   

Minnesota Maps Online
Search Minnesota's original public land survey plats, created during the first government land survey of the state by the U.S. Surveyor General's Office during the years 1848 to 1907. Also included are the later General Land Office and Bureau of Land Management maps, up to the year 2001.
